Why do you have different looks for different web pages?
Like hairstyles web pages develop over time. The background look you see here is our "second look" and was designed to "show you a stage" with curtains on the both sides and a center area (the place where you are reading now) is supposed to be, where the play or the show or at the salon the haircuts would happens.
As you know Top Banana is a vaudevillian term for star. Hence the STARS at the top of the page.
We named our Tucson Hair Salon Top Banana for two reasons...
people seem to remember the name Top Banana, we saw the potential in the great recall-ability
we picked Top Banana to remind our hair styling employees the you are the star, not them. This, our 2nd look was designed to better illustrate the relationship between our name and the Vaudeville stage and stars.
Believe it or not most folks today have never seen a vaudeville show ,with its eclectic mix of different talents and different acts all on one stage similar to the Ziegfeld Follies, George Burns and Gracie Allen were 2 such stars along with Will Rogers (forerunner of Johnny Carson) W. C. Fields, Eddie Cantor, Josephine Baker, Fanny Brice, Ann Pennington, Bert Williams, Eva Tanguay, Bob Hope, Ruth Etting, Ray Bolger, Helen Morgan, Louise Brooks, Marilyn Miller, Ed Wynn, Gilda Gray, Nora Bayes, Sophie Tucker, Charlie Chaplin and many many others. The Bob Hope specials and Ed Sullivan TV show was the closest Television show that would "be close to" the live action found on the vaudeville stage. The common theme was that these shows offered a mix of different people with different talents for their audiences.
Just remember when you come to Top Banana you are the star and we know we are helping to get you ready for your show, so you can shine when you are back on stage, no matter what you stage, your work, or you needs my be.
